The magnificent Somoto Canyon is situated in the longest river of Central America in the Madriz Department. The canyon offers some of the most thrilling adventures in Nicaragua. The canyon is located only fifteen minutes west from the city of Somoto. From Managua, you can take a bus which has several departures a day to reach Somoto Town. The journey takes approximately 4 hours and costs $4. From Somoto, you can take a taxi, or walk to reach the entrance of the canyon.
