First you have to reach Aguas Caliente. You can get there from Cusco by train or on foot. From Aguas Caliente, you have to hike for 2 hours to get to Machu Picchu. For the most adventurous, you can hire a tour operator for a few days trek from Cusco to Machu Picchu: Salkantay Trek, Inca Trail or Inca Jungle trek.
