Koh Tao is an island located in the gulf of Thailand. It is well known for its white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and hilltop views. Koh Tao is also the scuba diving destination of choice in Thailand. It has many popular PADI/SSI diving certified schools in the language that you want. A popular attraction around Koh Tao is the Koh Nang Yuan Island tour. It is an island made up of three small islands connected by a sand bar with many coral reefs. The best time to visit Koh Tao is from December to March when the water is high, clean, and optimal for swimming.
The island is only accessible by ferry boat from Chumphon and Surat Thani in the mainland and from Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. The boat ride coast approximately 600 Baths and takes 3 hours.

Cool island! One of the best spots to do scuba diving certification (oper water). It is cheap and you can get the chance to see whale shark!!! We did our certification with French Kiss Divers and we felt really safe!!
