Nestled in the Indian state of Rajasthan, Pushkar is a captivating destination renowned for its spiritual and cultural allure. The city's foremost attraction lies in its sacred Pushkar Lake, encircled by 52 ghats where pilgrims and travelers can immerse themselves in the rituals and ceremonies of Hinduism. The vibrant annual Pushkar Camel Fair is another major draw, offering a unique glimpse into rural Rajasthan life and the opportunity to witness one of the world's largest camel markets.
One of the highlight of our trip to Pushkar was of course the hinduism ceremony by the lake but also the hike to the Savitri Mata Temple. It is a 30 minutes walk up the 500 steps to reach the temple. Once at the top, you will find a colony of monkeys and an incredible view overlooking the city.

I loved that city! I’d recommend! If you can get there in November, there is a big camel market.
