Briksdalsbreen is a glacier located in the municipality of Stryn in Western Norway. It is a popular tourist destination and is known for its picturesque setting and dramatic landscape. The glacier is part of the Jostedalsbreen National Park and is one of the largest glaciers in mainland Europe. The Briksdalsbreen glacier is easily accessible by car or bus from the nearby town of Olden. Visitors can take a short hike or a horse-drawn carriage to reach the glacier's edge, where they can view the stunning ice formations and the surrounding mountain scenery. It is important to note that due to climate change, the glacier has been retreating rapidly in recent years. Therefore, it is recommended to visit Briksdalsbreen sooner rather than later to witness its beauty before it changes even further.

How to get there:
The most convenient way to get to Briksdalsbreen glacier is by car. If you’re driving from Oslo, you can take the E6 highway north towards Lillehammer, then follow the E136 and Rv15 towards Olden. The journey takes around 6-7 hours, depending on traffic and weather conditions.
Alternatively, you can take public transportation. There are regular bus services from Oslo to Stryn, with a change in the town of Otta. From Stryn, you can take a bus or a taxi to Briksdalsbreen.
