Boulders Beach is a popular beach located in the Cape Peninsula near Simon's Town, South Africa. It is renowned for its colony of African penguins, which has made it one of the top tourist attractions in the region. The beach itself is sheltered by large granite boulders, which provide calm waters for swimming and make it a popular spot for families with young children. The beach also offers scenic views of False Bay and is surrounded by a nature reserve that features a variety of indigenous plant species and wildlife. The African penguins that inhabit Boulders Beach are one of the few penguin species found on the African continent. They are known for their distinctive black and white markings and braying calls. The penguins can be observed from a viewing platform or from the beach itself, but visitors are asked to respect their space and refrain from touching or feeding them.

How to get there:
By train: The train from Cape Town to Simon’s Town is a scenic route that takes you along the coast. From the Simon’s Town train station, Boulders Beach is about a 30-minute walk away.
By bus: There are several tour operators that offer bus tours from Cape Town to Boulders Beach. This is a convenient option if you don’t want to rent a car or take the train.
Once you arrive at Boulders Beach, you can park your car in the parking lot and follow the boardwalk to the beach. Admission fees are charged to enter the beach and visit the penguin viewing area.
