The Blue Mosque, also known as the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, is one of the most iconic landmarks in Istanbul, Turkey. It is located in the historic district of Sultanahmet and is known for its stunning architecture and beautiful blue interior. Entrance to the Blue Mosque is free of charge Architecture: The Blue Mosque is renowned for its impressive architecture that combines elements of the Byzantine and Ottoman styles. It features a large central dome, six minarets (tall towers), and eight secondary domes. The exterior is adorned with blue Iznik tiles, giving it its distinctive name. Interior: The mosque's interior is equally impressive, with high ceilings, large stained glass windows, and intricately decorated walls. The lower levels are covered with carpets, and the upper levels have galleries that are accessible to visitors. The main prayer hall features a beautiful mihrab (prayer niche) and a large chandelier.

If you plan to visit the Blue Mosque, it's recommended to check the visiting hours as they may vary. Visitors are required to remove their shoes and women are required to cover their heads with a scarf. Entrance is free, but donations are appreciated to support the mosque's maintenance.
