It is known for its stunning natural beauty, towering cliffs, and iconic landmarks such as Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) and Kjeragbolten. Lysefjord offers a variety of hiking and outdoor activities for nature enthusiasts. Aside from Preikestolen and Kjerag, there are numerous trails and viewpoints along the fjord where you can enjoy scenic walks and take in the awe-inspiring landscapes. It's essential to be well-prepared, have proper hiking gear, and be aware of the weather conditions and difficulty levels of the trails. Preikestolen is one of the most famous attractions in Norway and is located on the northern shore of Lysefjord. It is a flat mountain plateau that rises about 604 meters above the fjord. Adventurous hikers can undertake a challenging hike to Kjerag and even stand on the famous boulder for a unique photo opportunity. The hike to Kjerag is more strenuous than Preikestolen, spanning approximately 10 kilometers round trip and taking around 6-8 hours.
